TV Channel Miss with Cable

Hello friends,

I have Onida Black KY Thunder 5 yrs old TV with 120 channels, while my friend in Near Building have 10 yrs old Akai TV (80 channels - I think).

We both have connection from same Cablewalla but My friend enjoy Sab TV, Zsmile when at same time I can not able to see these channels. I use Auto Search and Manual Search, Fine Tuning with my TV but all in vain.

I complaint same with Cablewalla, he said that your TV need Tuning by One Gadget (I don't remember the name) for Setting the channels, but 3 months pass he didn't visit my house to Pull the Missing channel with the Gadget.

So is there any Gadget using it you can pull the channels and at same time you do not need to keep the Gadget with you? Any other way to Pull the channel via my TV so I can enjoy the missing channels.

AFAIK you can do it using manual tuning. Just see what freq your friend has for the channel that you are missing and try and do the manual tuning one step at a time. YOu should be getting the channel without any problems. Not sure if the gadget is just a way to fleece some dough out of you

check if your TV has hyperband, if not get it installed and that should do the trick, although i doubt if a 5yr old tv will not have a hyperband :S

other issue can be the cable you are using, the cable your friend might be using could be of superior quality hence no signal loss and all channels available. check ur friend's cable and compare it with yours

My TV has 200 channels.

Initially I can watch the Same Channels on my TV, 3-4 months before both was went off and after a week Zsmile arrive but with 10000's of dots (while other channels are clear and crispy- till today) and SAB channel going for ever till today.

How can I come to know about my TV has Hyperband or Not?

Just I visit Onida site and found that "Onida TV's are comaptible to both standards for DVD and VCD, but not for RF transmission." is it any how realte to my problem?

Sorry but didn't get you Chaos:(

cable operators generally install boosters every 100 mts or so, to amplify the signal, so possible a booster is a bit far from your place and hence the loss in quality and channels. ask that fellow to install a booster and that should do the trick.
