Is there any way possible to send my DirecTV signal over my LAN so I can watch it on a computer?
I've got a small problem. I live in a motorhome, and I've got a DirecTV receiver in the front of the coach hooked to me TV. I want to send the feed to the back of the coach, but I don't have wiring to do that, and there is no room for a TV back there. I have a good wireless LAN that is received well by the computer in the back room, so I want to send the DirecTV feed over the LAN and watch it on the computer back there. I've found lots of media extenders that allow stuff from the computer to be sent to the TV, but nothing for sending the TV to the network.
I've been researching using a TV tuner or video capture card and wireless A/V senders, but that seems like an overly complicated way of doing things.
I'd like to avoid spending more than $120 or so on this. Any suggestions?
