Anirudh.......can u provide here a sample screenshot(default) from the Pinnacle 100e video capture or better upload a sample "video capture" of any random TV channels (non-compressed or converted) from "your" TV-Tuner card?

Your Claim would be better judged then!

Morever,do anybody know....on WHICH chipset is the P 100e based...is it on PHILIPS?
 
i have a pinnacle 110i & it is gr8 hardware...i dont want to post pics & stuff..anyways..never had any problems with any drivers,software or recording..the bundled software is awesome....
 
got it for smthing like 3500+ last september in a shop in SP road(bangalore)..dont know the current cost...
btw i advice you to get a PCTV pro for ~5000..it would be nice since it is a USB connectivity..u need not have to worry when u shift to a new rig or a laptop...:)
 
What abou products from avermedia? They are available in abundance in SP road bangalore. The TV Box 9(external) is worth 6.5K+taxes.So they are expensive too.I don't know about the quality though...
 
SS.......I dunno much abt usb connection...in TV capture......wouldnot be that a constrain in receiving good signal input.?

Iam asking that,b'coz in my SONY Digital HANDYCAM,when the capture through USB, i get HORRIBLE result(i.e video capture).......only when i shifted to Sony i-Link/Firewire/IEEE 1394 connection,i get decent result! (of course due 2 its high b/w support)

So,would capture from an external TV-USB tuner box,wouldnot bring in same poor result?

Those,having external TV-USB's .........ppls like anirudh....kindly answer what connection are they making to PC & TVtuner

QAlso,mind that,i was not too akin for an external TV-tuner Setup!

I am making USB connection btwn pc & TVtuner.

I got "ALL" TV-Channels as they appear in TV set.

No FM Radio.
 
I just called up my PC dealer...& he quoted a Price of

Rs. 4800 = Pinnacle PC-TV 100e(External Card)

Rs. 4400 = Pinnacle PC-TV 110i (Internal Card)

Now What do u Ppls say?

yes..pinnacle tuners do miss out channels with horribly bad frequencies..:bleh: there is a difference of ~12 channels from my PC & my TV...anyways none of my favorites are in that list...

I dont think there would be a problem with a PCTV PRO (usb)....i've heard some bad reviews abt local ones tough....NEVER go for cheap locals ones...
 
anirudh.....when after Video capture & Conversion 2 any of the MPEG/Divx format.what about the picture Quality.when u see that on yr 42" LG Plasma.......

Can you still then Appreciate the Picture as "GOOD" ?

I bought a ASUS TV FM card for 3k before a couple of days very happy with the quality of reception and also does not skip channels as i had faced the problem on pinnacle and pixelview card the only disadvantage is that it may not work with MCE as no where on the box it's written MCE certified.
I am attaching a recorded video, chk the quality also my cable signal stregnth is not good as it comes through a couple of splitters.
