PC Peripherals Tv tuner question

I am planning to purchase the following tv tuner card EVGA 016-P1-NVTV-TX Gf Nvtv Pci Tuner Card from the US.In India the format is PAL so will the card work here ?
 
LOL Tejas where will you put the card ? All the PCI slots are full .... Or are you getting the MSI k8n Diamond mobo from US too...

one is empty still.....

but don't the cards support both ntsc and pal
 
This card aparantly works only with MS Windows Media centre Edition.
About your question. No this card does not work with PAL signal. You will need PAL to NTSC convertor along with this card.

Its specifically written that its NTSC.

By the way are you the same guy who asked same question at Hardocp?

The signal in US is NTSC and though cards available here support both the formats, only PAL system works here in india,like in most western european countries... PAl has better resolution than in NTSC, having 625 lines/frame, but the framerate is slightly lower, being 25 frames/sec.
u'd do good to get a card from here..thr r a lot of good cards available like Pinnacle PCTV, Compro Videomate etc...:)

ya i am the same guy who had posted on hardocp. :ohyeah:
also i have tried pixelview and pinnacle cards was not happy at all at the clarity.
