Hello Friends,

I have ZERO knowledge about game & other products related to TV-Video Game. My 6 yrs old Nephew requires video game to play on TV with joystick.

What I come to know from him is that some cassette requires to put in to base machine & can play different games.

Kindly suggest me full set & contains so I can confirm with dealer before buying it. Please suggest URL if you find same online.

Budget: 1k or less.

Thanks :)

^Nope. PSone used a CD Rom & not a video game cartridge. This should be one of those nintendo's 8-bit clones. Check for Media Little Master. It's pretty much the first console I owned & it had that top cartridge loading system. It should be within 1k for sure. Not sure if they sell the same brand anymore but you should be able to find cheap Chinese replicants of the same.

^^ i knew that ....but cartridge is coslier then cd.......as by my experience.....i've used nintendo , media , samurai.....etc etc...

It's difficult to find a PSone within 1k range unless it's second hand & that too is very sketchy. As for cartridges, you get those 12-in-1 games & stuff like that I don't think that would be a bad investment for a 6 year old kid to fiddle around with.

I'm from Mumbai. Have ZERO knowledge about any gaming product/console, & my nephew is BORN TECHNICIAN :@ so just can't afford to spend more.

Even in Mumbai it's pretty easy to spot these video game consoles. Just head out to any normal electronic store or kiddies toy shop. They usually have these consoles in stock. Just ask them to show the ones which allow you to insert cartridges in them. You can't go wrong in getting that. Trust me you don't need any pre-hand knowledge to buy these consoles.

+1 to that ! You get them in most toy stores...

Lol. I remember i had one called POLYSTATION 64:ohyeah: which looked just like the playstation 1 !

But those were good ole times of mario,contra.. :hap2:

These are 8 Bit NES clones and are available almost every where [ customs shops, stores selling Chinese electronics, toy, gift shops etc]. Cost is about 500 bucks. (This was the cost when I got two of these about 10 years back) Some decently well built ones can cost up to 800~1000 bucks.

These things usually include the console, 2 game pads, an optical (infrared) gun, a power adapter and a game cartridge with something written like 9999 games in one or 9999999 games in one. The cartridge usually consists of 5~10 games repeated 9999 or whatever times.

Additional Game cartridges cost anywhere between 50~300 bucks depending on the games in them. Usually avoid cartridges with levels like 500 in 1 or higher. They have the the same games repeated all over. The ones have 4 in 1 or 20 in 1 written on them. That's the usual capacity of these things.

Although these cartridges work on any of the clone consoles, there are in some cases alignment issues with some cartridges due to which they will not fit or work in some of these consoles.

Go for cartridges like 20 in one and 64 in one . Some of good games are CONTRA,MARIO,Battle tank, load runner, etc. Used to play it alot few years back .
