Twitter has stopped allowing Instagram users from finding their friends who are already on Twitter and adding them as users on Instagram. This has been confirmed by Twitter .
Now Instagram users will not see " Find friends on Twitter " option .
Instead, they'll get a message that says this, "Unable to Find Friends. Twitter no longer allows its users to access this information in Instagram via the Twitter API. We apologize for any inconvenience."
There could be many reasons to this .The acquisition of Instagram by Facebook , or the sheer size of Instagram with over 80 million users , or it could be that Twitter wants Instagram to pay more for using its API .
This could be the first step towards disabling photo sharing by Instagram users on Twitter .
