Ubisoft has announced that one of their websites were exploited and unauthorized access had been granted to hackers which allowed them access to the screen names and the passwords of it's users. There has not been much detailing regarding the same, but Ubisoft has said that there are investigating the matter. It is recommended that everyone should change their passwords on U-play/the Ubisoft website.
The advisory said "Out of an abundance of caution, we also recommend that you change your password on any other website or service where you use the same or a similar password".
It is kind of ironic, as in Ubisoft's upcoming AAA game, Watch Dogs, you are required to hack into computers - it's a part of the game, and now Ubisoft themselves have been hacked. Many people are now wishing that the old days should just come back, when you can pop a disc into a tray and just play a game without the hindrance of registering on websites, so later they can be hacked.
Passwords can be changed here and further information can be availed here.
