Ubisoft DRM servers to go down next week for maintenance, complete Ubi titles now !

The Ubisoft DRM servers will go down next week, as Ubisoft shifts the service from a thrid party to a new facility. The following games will not be playable next week :

ASSASSIN'S CREED ® MAC

Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X.® 2 PC

Might & Magic : Heroes VI PC

Splinter Cell Conviction® MAC

The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdomâ„¢ PC

The Settlers ® MAC

The servers will be down for an "undisclosed" amount of time. Maybe we should start boycotting Ubi, this is ridiculous. It seems piracy is what keeping gaming alive while the publishers themselves are killing it.

Do they really don't know why people pirate games?

I am not supporting piracy in any form. But penalising legal users is counterproductive.

I play on a console. This news is like, PS3 users won't be able to play any game because PSN is down for maintenance.

I think a legal copy and patching it will solve the problem. That's what I saw someone on another forum do. (while I was discussing if it was wise to suggest a patch meant for piracy) Got my answer today.

They must release the patch for the games to remove the DRM.
