Yesterday, Ubuntu's homepage housed the "Avoid the pain of Windows 8" image, whereas today it's been changed to "Your wish is our command". We couldn't help but write about Canonical's take on Windows 8.

Ubuntu 12.10, like all it's previous iterations, packs many new features. Let's have a look at what's new and what's changed.
- Yo can now set websites as web apps and pin them to your launcher (for example, you can pin your Facebook or Gmail to your launcher so that when you open them, they'll open in an app like fashion)
- You can now make a universal search for content across all your accounts (both offline storage and online storage such as your Flikr account or Google Drive, etc.)
- The new Preview option in the Dash lets you Preview files without opening them.
