Hi Friends,
I do not know how many people have experience working with ubuntu on a playstation 3, but I will shoot my question for an audience that is much aware about this.
So by now, I am sure you have guess I am trying to run Ubuntu on my PS3.
The OS has installed just fine and is able to manage things just fine. However there is an annoying snag. My primary display which I use for my PC is the same one I am using with my PS3. The display resolution for the Display is 1360x768. Its a 32 inch Sony Bravia.
I am not able to do a proper fullscreen on this with it either eating up some part of the display or it leaving blank spaces around the main display (sort of like letterbox)
I have tried editing kboot to change the display, however it only allows me to set either of the modes HD or SD modes(720p, 480i, 1080i,1080p) and not anything in between. Can you all suggest other ways I can set and change the resolution when I am in Ubuntu. I have tried setting it to fullscreen the 720p mode, which in theory should work, but it is not able to fill up in my screen properly.
Do you recommend I switch back to a more stable version of Ubuntu to try and see if this problem remains?
Awaiting your suggestions, Thanks!
