A much easier way would be to boot into Windows, get the Windows MBR using EasyBCD and then formatting/deleting the partition with Ubuntu.
hmm why not simply dlt the partition from win 7 dvd and repair the bootmgr from the commands in go ?? much easier than dwnlding easybcd....

thnx i will keep that in mind..

easy BCD is the best way ... involves only one bootloader of windows :) . Just keep in mind that while installing linux use the linux drive to install bootloader [GRUB2] and after restart you will see that linux doesnt show up on windows bootloader now use easybcd in windows and auto detect grub2 :D best way to mange in case where you need to delete linux distros to try others :D .

Yep. EasyBCD is a very simple and neat way to get the dual boot and boot loader uninstall jobs done. I recently reformatted win7 and restored GRUB 2 with easyBCD. Simple and easy.
Well atleast for this command prompt n00b. :ashamed:
