UMI XE is budget phablet by UMI. When we say budget, we really mean it. Costing just Rs. 4999, the UMI XE aims to provide a 5 inch experience even to those without any budget.

The UMI XE might just be the cheapest budget phone to pack Android 4.0 ICS and come with a huge 5 inch (260k colors) display. Add to that a very decent design and you quickly see why this phone might end up selling tons, no thanks to it's mediocre specifications. The pricing is key here.

UMI seems to making announcements of attractive fones at very low prices- but there seems to be no buzz on availability of the actual hand sets. Hope UMI is not a grand scheme to rid gullible Indians of their hard earned Rupees.
Guys instead of just announcements- get your phones into stores.
 
Guys be warned-- UMI- scamsters that they are- have removed this fone from their web site-as also from their facebook page- after taking full payments of Rs 4999 from lots of Indians- including my own cousin VBB from Shimla. After taking payment nary an acknowledgement nor a dispatch of goods paid for... beware these chink thieves !!.
