Smhow i am unable to download anything from the internet...

Online setups and uppdates are working fine..but when itry to save a file to a specific location it just wont start....THe dload window comes up but no option as to where to save the file is given...When i try to save using save target as i get an error that file cannot be dloded as the site from which you are downloading cannot be found...

Any 1 knows whats wrong here??? :huh:

Do check if your ISP has recently applied any download timings or some limiter during the day. Also check if you are behind a proxy from ur ISP.
Coz, my ISP implements this....
 
Are you using any firewall. (zone alarm in particular) I had similar problems with ZA.
it has something to do with the cookies settings. you may know this, but anyway...

Go to Privacy option in ZA (available only in Pro). Uncheck the "block 3rd party cookies" for both Internet and Trusted. goto Sites tab. See if you have a red cross for any of the site from which you want to download. change that to "allow"

I hope this works cos it did for me. btw i'm changing my firewall to Kerio. fed up of ZA . cant even access Gmail at times.
 
nopes no firewall..only windows XP SP 2 firewall...

though i would call the ISP and see if he has done anything

Nope, i dont Stay in Mazagon. But yes, i dont use an ordinary ISP as stated elsewhere. But what my point here was that such stuff is possible.
