Unable Max out torrents with TATA Broadband

Hey,

I have been using Tata broadband since 15 days...I normally use Https and i get constant speed of 240Kbps.. But when i use torrents, it doesnt go over 210Kbps.. I tried various setting for Utorrents but its still now working.

Also i tried torrents from everywhere be it Demonoid,Mininova, TL, Revtt and even ScT but the speed doesnt go over 210Kbps.

Can anyone please help me with the proper settings which can max out the speed. well many of us are using torrents with TATA so may be some can share the settings and i will try it myself ;)

even i get high speeds thru https... i.e. around 210 KBps or so... but when it comes to torrents... i get only 150 KBps... :(
 
i have same situation as yours . read and tweaked so many times but no luck. i guess other 20-30 Kb should be overhead .

btw did u check Protocol Encryption ? i read on few foreign forums that it does help to improve throughput . but i guess it wouldnt help here .

lastly u can try this Tweak . Tweaking for speed - dslreports.com

do let me know if you find any improvement in your speed .
 
Actually most of TE Members here get max speed on Torrents...so i was suprised as to why am i not getting max speeds...

On the other hand Https are working fyne ..!!
 
Try throttling down the upload speeds by around 10k.
For me, torrents always run at 10-15k below maximum speed unless I lower my upload speed limit.
 
Even thought my upload speed is around 512kbps which comes to around 64K.. it hardly uploads that much...right now i am leeching a torrent with 200K down and 0.2K Up... still its not crossing 210
 
i hvaing same issues with torrent speeds on tata downloads from http's is like 240+..however torrents from sites like desit... are damn fast! aroung 260

hmm yeah..was thinkin of tryin Azureus :S but utorrent is way to easy to use so was hesitating..lets see..
 
dude try azreus! im using tht now gettin ok speeds// dont have to worry ab mem coz i have a 2 gig ram!! cheers!!..
 
i have d same prob..but more sever ...unable to get more dan 100kbps even on private tracker..tried both azureus as well as u torrent..
i also have the tata 2 mbps NU.
pls suggest me settings to improve d speeds
