I have this strange problem where I am not able to connect to IBF (broadbandforum.in). Initially I thought the site was down, later once when I got through, the admin told that the site was never down. And now when I tried Down for everyone or just me?, it says the site is up for everyone. I was also able to access the site using an anonymiser.

What am I supposed to do now? I have flushed the DNS cache, and also restarted my modem. Anything else I need to do?

Interesting. But then, I guess you had problems opening some other sites too. If I remember right, you had posted similar stuff regarding other sites earlier.

What are your ISPs? For me BSNL sometimes fails to open sites which must be router problems (even though DNS works)... it sometimes recovers within a few minutes/hours, sometimes takes a day or two since they apparently reboot their stuff every morning around 5am. IBF is working for me at the moment.

Yea, that's what I have been doing. But would prefer to know what's wrong :(

@seshu, I use the default DNS, let me try using Open DNS - it doesn't work well enough for me for some sites, that's why I had to revert to Airtel's default.

^ I did it give both Google and Open DNS a shot, but I guess they work better for non-Indian sites. My usage is restricted to Indian sites mostly and I thought the look up for these wasn't that great on these DNSs. So had to switch back to Airtel.

btw, the issue is now resolved. As per the admin @ IBF, there was some configuration issue at their end which has now been addressed.
