This system is at my uncles friends place.

Some Branded lenovo desktop:

Intel Core i5 4460 @ 3.20GHz Haswell 22nm Technology
LENOVO SHARKBAY (SOCKET 0)
Intel HD Graphics 4600 (Lenovo)
1gb seagate sata
4gb ram
It also go onboard Bluetooth and Wifi.

Wifi adaptor name: Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC

Windows 10 pro (Free upgrade via Win 8)

The issue is, the wifi isnt manageable from anywhere. It can connect to surrounding wifi networks but if we try to search it via our smartphones it doesnt get detected.

He needs to pair it with his Android phone for data transferring.

I have installed latest Win 10 drivers from lenovo official site.

What we need is to somehow change the Wifi adapters name so we can connect it from phone. Where to head to do so?

1) How's that laptop getting internet connection? Thru LAN?
2) Was he able to connect to that Realtek thingie in the past?

One possible solution: You need to enable "hosted Wi-Fi". Steps are available on google. Keep in mind that not all Wi-Fi chips support this feature.

Its Desktop i clearly mentioned.
Yes want to connect to this desktops wireless card but it can't be detected on any phone. But it can connect to any available wifi network around incl. phones hotspot.

As asked above, how does your PC get internet?
- The wifi card in your PC is just a receiver. It might have a hotspot mode, wherein you can create a wifi network using the adapter, but not sure if your card supports that feature. If you can do that, the new wifi you have created can be connected to by the mobile, and then data transferred. You could use softwares like connectify to create the wifi hotspot from PC.
- The more easy alternative is to create a wifi hotspot using your Android, and connect your PC to this. Then use an app like ES File Explorer to transfer the files.
- If your PC gets internet through a common Wifi network at home, connect your Android also to the same network, and use an app like Xender for easy sharing of data.

Hope I'm clear.

PC gets internet via dedicated lan card (local isp).
Phone doesnt need internet from pc but just normal pairing for data transfer to and fro rather than connecting usb cable everything.

Yup. I understood that. My reply still applies. You will have to create a wifi hotspot on either of the devices and connect the other to that. It is easier to do that on your mobile.
