Unable to play VBR Mp3's on S60v3

I have a Nokia E63 and am trying to play VBR MP3s on it. I have used the bundled music player, coreplayer and powermp3 and have experienced the same with all 3. The files stutter and then stop playing completely.

Any suggestions?
 
What is the bit rate of the MP3s? The Variable bit rate range.

I usually encode my songs in either eAAC+ or AAC using the Nokia Music Manager or WMA using Windows Media Player.

Try encoding the songs and then using them on the phone, its a click and you are done process.
 
Hmm...it's pretty high I think. Re-encode is the last resort.

I don't have a data cable right now so convert and transfer would take way too much time over bluetooth. Maybe i'll just use dbpoweramp and convert all to CBR 196.
 
If you want to convert files then I think CDDA Extractor is a better choice as it has many more customisable options.

can u PM me a link for the powermp3 player. i'll try playing VBR mp3s on my E63.
