Unable to Play Video - Intel Video Codec

i am unable to play one of the videos i have on my PC (OS - Windows Vista)

on analyzing with g spot , i got this

So i downloaded Indeo v5.11 codec from free-codecs.net and installed it , but still the video doesnt play , i can hear only audio and g spot shows the same thing .

Any help would be appreiated
 
I used to use it earlier , but it installed a lot of bloatware / extra codecs and old versions of some , so i prefer to install only the ones i need
 
Bloatware???? Are you sure? Cause I have been using for quite a long, and the only applications that it installs apart from the codecs are WMP Classic and MediaInfo. Not to mention that you can customize the whole installation package to install only those which you desire. And regarding versions, I am sure that the developers wait to include the new version of the codec till it is reported to be completely stable.

There is one more option: use VLC player or KMPlayer- both have internal codecs and does not require any external codec to play any media files.
