hey guys,

i have just got a 750 UL BSNL plan.

I download from websites like iptorrents/torrentday without any problems but i am unable

to upload :S...even when the download is finished i keep my netbook on see something

uploaded...but i get nothing above 2-3 Kbps :(

There are 300-400 peers on files i download but none get connected :S

Sometimes i get upload speeds upto 40 KBps but that lasts only for 10-20 seconds :(

What should be the problem?

I use utorrent, protocol encryption is enabled.

thanks in advance!

^ thats a problem with private trackers. our upload speeds are so low that torrent clients prefer other faster clients.

another problem is that the people using the other clients are using some ip blocking filter and might have blocked a range of ip's unknowingly.

Your only option on private trackers is to keep the comp on 24/7 and keep the torrents on Force start mode so they seed all the time.

My friends download from these websites only and they say that they get continuous upload speeds of 40-50 KBps :S (they have the same plan as well)

maybe his firewall is actively preventing incoming connections ,

he will still be able to download though

it happened to me

Can you go to preference and select 'Bittorrent', you will see the settings Enable DHT...etc.

Post a screen shot of that. Also the protocol should be added to your Win firewall. Usually happens automatically the first time you start the client.

Are you connectable? means, do you see the green status indicating successful incoming connections

YES , a green tick at the bottom-right corner of the window.

An exception is added to WIN firewall but i don't use Windows Firewall instead i use NOD32 smart security's firewall

The global no.of connections for a 512Kb line is too much. For 60KB speeds keep it 100 - 150 max, and for per peer keep it around 40. Upload slots should be 3 max. If you keep 6 upload slots it will divide 30KB by 6 so each user will get only 5Kb of speed. For full speed uploads keep it @2 per torrent.

Under preferences, uncheck the following also:

Enable DHT Network

Enable DHT for new torrents

Enable local peer discovery

Enable bandwidth management

Enable peer exchange

Limit Local peer bandwidth

Also:

You should disable "net.calc_overhead"

Click "Advanced" then scroll down until you find net.calc_overhead. Set this key=FALSE.

Restart the client.

did that^^

no changes in the upload speed visible :(

EDIT:

Dude the green status indicating successful incoming connections turned into red exclamation mark after unchecking the above options :S

Those are setting which most PTs suggest. You are connected via a router..?

Also are you on the latest version of the client.

YES, i am using the latest version of the client and i am connected via router !!..does that make any difference? :ashamed:

Your router configuration terminal will have a PORT forward section. Post a screenshot of that. Will try my best, but hardly the expert here.

No harm trying though. :)

no dude ^^..i tried connecting my netbook directly to modem through LAN but still no upload.

NOTE:

i get some upload speeds..like 10~15kbps while downloading from trackers like exdesi, idesir or any other public tracker but absolutely no upload while downloading from

torrentday or iptorrents :(
