PC Peripherals Upgradable laptop??

Hi,
According to this page , the upgradability of a laptop depends on the model, company etc.
So is there any such laptop in India, that offers upgradability?
Does anyone have any experience with laptop upgrade.
I am not looking for fullscale motherboard upgrade(though that would be very cool), but for stuff like pci slot, ram upgrade, hdd, and maybe v-card.

Most of the laptops do have option of upgrading ram amd hdd.

What about pci slots? Say I want to add a tv-tuner card, or a firewire will that be possible?

and what about optical drives? If there is cd-rom that has to be upgradable.

You can change the optical drive in most laptops. You can put in pcmcia peripherals. Laptops don't have pci slots. You can use an external tv tuner though. If you want upgradeable graphics, look for a laptop with mxm modules.

Cool info! though MXM seems kind of rare. Any amd notebook with MMx that you know of Chaos?
So we can upgrade ram, hd-disk, optical drive, tv-tuner, firewire. hmm who said laptops aren't upgradable?

^^I'm not sure of any. My dell xps uses mxm. A few other dell models do as well.
