Upgrade over Sennheiser HD25

As the title says,I am looking for an upgrade from HD25.

Though it sounds fantastic from a lowly set up of ipod touch 3rd gen-->LOD-->FiiO E11,the treble sometimes feels too harsh for my liking,and the soundstage is too intimate and classical music does not sound very good.

Not looking into open or hard to drive cans as I will be getting a HD650 soon.
I am no bass head,neither do I like anaemic sounding cans like AudioTechnica AD700.Probably looking for something which sounds like HD25 with somewhat tamed down treble.

I have heard about silver cables for hd25,but can not seem to find them online.

Budget for the headphone is 500USD max.

Think you should take a look at the Beyer Tesla 1350. A lot of people claim the Tesla 1350 is a an upgrade from the HD25 while still giving you great portability. I've got a bit of a soft spot for the HD25 and I'm thinking of buying them again but these have me thinking.

Why are you looking at silver cables if what you're after is less treble? I used a copper cable with my last pair but with a rather bright amp so I didn't really notice too much of a diffidence. If you're getting them from the US and don't mind the HD650 being a used set I think you can get both for around $650

Think you can pickup a copper cable for about 30usd or so. They're the same ones that come with the 600/650. Don't know how much of difference it will make.
