Hi friends ...

Need advise about upgrade ...

I decide to sale my Palit 4850 Sonic and buy new card but confuse between 4870 1Gb and GTX 260 core 216....

Which is good ???

Is it right time to upgrade or not ???

Obviously 260, 4870 1GB is above 13k in India.

Palit Sonic is good, Factory overclocked edition, so close to stock GTX 280 performance, n silent.

Yes its good time, why U wanna wait, next Gen cards r easily 6months away.

260 also supports PhysX, play Mirror's Edge in full glory.

New Palit is 10.8k shipped to UR place, PM Apollyon.

Decide on the basis if whether your mobo supports crossfire or sli. If both go for 260. Reason I say this is for future upgrade path, which becomes not so far into the future when you are part of TE...lol

DO NOT UPGRADE.... 17" monitor needs no more than a HD4850. Period.

EDIT: ^yes CPU is bottleneck till 2.6GHz IMO. But dont buy aftermarket cooler. Stock cooler shud be enuf till 2.6Ghz

I OCed my processor upto 3.0 GHz but my RAM gone Kaput therefore i not OC my processor now ....

I have CoolerMaster CPU cooler (don't know name) get from my friend ...

Also U need 4GB for gaming now, 2GB aint enough anymore. Transcend 800mhz 4GB is 2.2k now.

Transcend 800mhz 4GB + E5200 + 260 is best combo, hoping U will buy 22" LCD soon :S

Sell E4500, buy E5200, 3.8~ is easy, 3.3-3.4 w/o touching any voltage setting in BIOS. Its amazing VFM.

Is e5200 is good compare to e4500 ???

I ask this bcoz when i ask mu computer wala about it he laugh on me and ask Y u up(down)grade to e5200 from e4500 ???

UR computer wala is n00b, arrogant.

E5200 is 45nm 2MB Cache 2.5GHz 12.5 Multi

E4500 is 65nm 2MB Cache 2.2GHz 11 Multi

E5200 overclocks easily to 4G.

Sir r u downgrade from quadcore to e5200 ,am i right ???

Yes, Quad was overkill for me, I felt no differance. Will upgrade to quad again when more n more applications will be multi core optimized. Also good power saving w/ E5200.

This G31 + E5200 combo is gr8 for me, 4GHz easy -

I am totally agree with u sir but i have only 8K cash ...

and i dont know how much can get from 4850 sonic after sale it ....

3.2k~ more if U sell CRT @ 2k + 2GB Corsair @ 1.2k. So now U have 15k+3.2k

n 19" LCD 6.5k + 260 10.8k + 4GB Transcend 2.2k = 19.5k
