Upgrade to i5 from Core 2 Duo

Looking to upgrade my 4 year old system. RAM was increased to 4GB (from original 2GB) later as was the monitor to 22" IPS from 17" CRT and 500GB Seagate HDD added to the original 160GB.

You are not a gamer so the ondie GPU would be sufficient for your usage... :)

Add a graphic card when you will feel the need for it... :)
 
If you are not going to OC then you do not need a 'K' series proccy. A i5 2500 would do and this would save you 1k!!!
 
Thanks for your inputs, guys. Will revert with my progress. Can I carry on using the Nvidia GPU or do I make do with the onboard/onproccy thing?

Any idea where I might get the Gigabyte H67MA-UD2H (B3 Revision)? SMC doesn't have it.

Is the Intel DH67BL-B3 any good?
 
Going with DH67BL-B3 would be a huge step down... its just a basic board... have you asked SMC that when that board will be in stock again? see if u can wait then do wait coz its a nice board otherwise i would advice you to buy Asus P8H67 M LE ~ Rs.6500...
