Upgrade to UMG1831

I am thinking to upgrade to UMG1831 as my current modem has few issues. However I wouldn't mind going with 7.2 MBPS one.

So are there any benefits from UMG1831 over E173 ? Like signal strength or increase in Speed ?

And how bad is heat in UMG1831 ?

any advantages or disadvantages ?

Also any other modems which support both 2G & 3G.

UMG1831 is good.. but i dont think it's worth a spend as 21.6 MBps will take years to see it's day in India..

Suggest to buy a low end reliable one.. Should costs half of umg1831

1731/2 will do the job. UMG 1831 is not worth spending 2.5k+

I have a UMG 1831,it heats up on on continuous use for couple of hours.
