Upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7

i am running home premium on my 1530 dell laptop
i want to try 7

i have downloaded the RC ,

will my files be there or deleted ?

wht about my programs ?

i need help regarding these ....

I would suggest go for new installation and try it first.

if you like it then do windows easy transfer etc.

i tried to upgrade but got error and couldnt boot to the normal vista..
so had to remove the HDD and connect to the PC and backup nealry 50 GB of data..
and haadto fresh install them..

not everyone can be lucky like me , it better to backup the data.. get 10 DVD orso and start writing .. if you want RC

now freshly installed ...
