i am on a tight budget and i am looking for a future proof processor. with a cheap compatible motherboard
i dont want fancy features like USB 3.0, SATA 6gbps ports, awesome overclocking features, powerful IGP, HDMI output, CFX, SLI etc. i need a cheap motherboard which should support DDR3 1333MHz RAM and PCI-E slot for dedicated GPU
for RAM i'm looking for 4GB single 1333MHz stick if it fits in 10k budget.

my GPU is gone for RMA and i'll get it in 1st week of jan or later. I'll buy a new PSU after getting my GPU back
till then, i have a 450W PSU with 2HDDs [LED fans, ODD and one 500GB drive is removed from cabby]

Cpu-Amd phenom ii x4 955be-5.8k
Mobo-ASUS M4A78LT-M LE-2.8k
Ram-Corsair xms3 4gb 1600mhz-1.5k or gskill ripjaws 4gb 1600mhz-1.6k
Psu-Seasonic s12ii 430w-2.6k or corsair cx430 v2-2.2k[Just mentioned the psu,it's upto you if you want to get it or not]
Hope this helps.

cpu - intel core i3 2100

mobo - asus h61 based

ram - corsair value select ram 2x2gb

all the above should set u a little above 10k. maybe 10.5 or so.

very future proof and a great buy at the price :)

@moksh4u2 : but phenom II X4 is a quad and gives better VFM than i3. i think a quad core is more future proof than intel i3 .i dont want to invest in a dual core. :O

thegatekeeper : M4A78LT-M LE is not compatible mobo. it supports CPUs upto 95W. phenom II X4 955BE is 125W CPU

Don't worry it will support 955be as i am running 955be on 95w motherboard,it runs fine.If you want a better mono then

GIGABYTE GA-880GM-USB3-4.8k or ASUS M4A88T-M-4.5k are the options.

Go with Intel, mate. You will have better upgrade options later on.

i will think of upgrading only after 2-3 years or more. i think both intel and AMD will have new sockets by that time so no upgrade options for me. :(
