Storage Solutions Upgrading to a SSD in a 2.0 Acer laptop

Hi

I have a Aspire Acer 5740 laptop which has presently has a 320 gb HDD
I am thinking of upgrading the same to a Samsung 850 EVO 120 GB SSD

The laptop only has 2.0 and not 3.0 in the HDD socket

As such is is worthwhile to upgrade to SSD ?
Will I get the full benefit of the SSD by way of faster booting and application loading time ?

You can go ahead on SATA 2 port with a SATA 3 SSD. Compared to HDD, you will definitely see difference between HDD (most probably it will be a 5400 RPM one) and SSD. My brother runs OCZ Vertex 4 SSD in laptop with i3-370M; runs perfect.
