Hi

As you all know, Dell offers a great 1080p screen upgrade with the XPS. The problem is, well, it costs money.

I chose to save some cash and got the standard 1366x768 screen for my XPS L502X. Now I am regretting it. Is there anyway I can get the screen upgraded to 1080p one ? I am willing to spend more than the 6.5k standard upgrade cost , and my laptop is barely 6 months old.

Thanks

you will have to purchase complete LCD, Bezel, Flex cable and top cover if reqd

it wont be an upgrade but a purchase,

any idea about the price ? will dell service centre people assemble it otherwise my warranty will go.

Yeah you can call up Dell and check if you can order the part and if available they would fix it for you

I also, asked dell rep. for the same, but refused said its not possible....

it is possible (Im sure its possible on Latitude, so should it on XPS, but again policies and slight design changes are inevitable), but the purchase of the 4 parts will come close to 20K, which is half the value of laptop, i'd say if u really wanna view HD movies, buy a good 24 inch IPS monitor, and be done with it, cos 20k just for internal screen isnt any good,
