As the title says..there is provision for uploading zip files but none for rar files.
Any specific reason or this?
Can it be included?
Arent rar files supposed to have better compression than zip?:S

Rar allows parts.
Like .rar, .r00, .r01 and so on..
It spreads Piracy. Thus most good forums dont have it. :).

You can do the same with zip as well with .z01,.z02 etc. No file format inherently spreads piracy :P. The only reason i can think is that the zip format is open to all whereas rar is proprietory and requires a plugin from rarlabs to work.
 
chaos reply is the reason.

as far as compression goes.. its hardly a big difference right with winzip9

Well, they should add RAR support for website uploads :@.
