My PC specs are in my siggy ...

I had mostly finalized on APC BACK BR1000 VA , knowing it has few issues with APFC PSU.But I also want to prevent my LCD TV (40" ~ 140W) from sudden shutdown - startup in case of power failure.
I currently have an Inverter which is square wave , with 130AH battery . I know running tv on square-wave inverter is bad idea , but it happens most of the time !
Two options i thought of ATM are
#1 : APC 1.5KVA SMart UPS : will connect only TV and my Comp to it , but problem is they are in different rooms ! moreover I'll have to isolate them from inverter because my house dont have separate inverter wiring (for that whole room cabling needs to be redone !) , but its the safest option i think considering safety of the equipments .

#2 : Get Su-Kam Pure Sine Wave Home UPS/Inverter (According to its website , it acts as UPS as well as inverter) ,But I dont know how effective is this ? Is it advisable to connect comp directly to main socket ? If its not then i'll have to do away with APC BR1000 UPS for my comp but it wont be sine wave !!

Budget is around 15k ...

awaiting suggestions !

I guess best option here is to just replace your inverter unit with a pure sine wave inverter like the one you mentioned. Also, get the APC UPS 1KVA and use it for your rig only to avoid switch over times, even if these inverters advertise themselves as UPS units as well, I have my doubts on how well they handle in case of a power failure and not avoid that 1 sec power switch over delay causing the comp to restart. I'm using a Luminous inverter for home along with the 1KVA APC UPS for PC just to avoid switchover delays and save comp from restarting, I avoid using it on battery backup as much as possible and this should cause no problem.

You can see if the new sine wave inverter handles your comp while power failure when you're gaming etc. and if it does a fine job, then maybe you can avoid the 1KVA. I guess the #1 option you mentioned would prove to be very tedious and even more expensive.

i own sukam 600VA Sturdy home ups/inverter connected to 150AH battery. During extreme fluctuations the inverter does not keep my computer switched on. It's even set to ups mode as claimed by company to handle computer reboot issues. This narrows down the voltage range before inverter enters into inverter mode. pleas for help to the company still remain unanswered.

In the end had to connect apc 650VA after the inverter to prevent the computer from reboots. Found through powerchute that system is consuming 250W max. without ups sukam inverter could not even prevent the pc from rebooting though 250W is not a big deal for a 600VA inverter.

I'm not sure about sine wave input to lcd TV since most equipment nowadays use smps.

You can isolate the two rooms from the inverte ,every room should have a pair of wires that goes to the DB .Connect the APC smart 1500va or the APC smart 1000 UXI to the pairs of wire of the two rooms..

Get the APC's UPS, They are extremely reliable, I got one for my modem and it works flawlessly.

My home inverter always has a 2-5 second lag for it to kick in once the power goes off.

If i go with 2nd option then problem is my comp's PSU has Active PFC , so I'm doubtful about compatibility of APC back UPS and my PSU .

And if I go with the 1st option i.e get APC SMART UPS for both rooms , then both rooms CFL and FANS will also be covered under it , and if in case of power cut i dont want UPS to make tht annoying beep beep noise every 5 seconds ! Also i guess UPS backup will be ~ 1 hr whereas Inverter backup will be close to 3-4 hrs :( ...

this wiring thing has messed up the equation ...

You can turn off the beeping sound in the APC smart ups.If you buy a APC smart SUA1000UXI you can add higher powered batteries.
