UPS Purchasing Help (PC specs at the bottom)

Hello all,

I am looking to replace my V-Guard UPS that died suddenly. The PC does not need a lot of backup time, as my apartment has a generator, but it should be able to handle voltage fluctuations. It seems like the voltage fluctuations from the generator kicking in is what killed the UPS in the first place (and probably killed the PSU as well, but my Dad can't tell that so I'll have to go and check it myself), but the previous UPS was already over 15 years old and on it's second battery when it kicked the bucket so I'm not sure if it's just the age of the UPS, or if I should be looking at different types of UPSes especially since the budget is very tight (₹4,000). This APC UPS seems to fit my needs and budget, but I am concerned that the stepped sine wave output will end up killing any PSU again because of the fluctuations from the wall.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers!
