Hi,

This question is specifically for people using seasonic PSUs. Could you please let me know which UPS (Brand and capacity) you were using with Seasonic PSU. I am presently using Seasonic SII 430. But it failed to work with Microtek and Sukam UPS inverters. Both are rated as 1100 VA. I can use all my home appliances with Sukam including a mixer & grinder but it always say overload when I connect to my computer. Sometimes the inverter does take the load but the inverter unit starts generating a knocking sound. Sukam Falcon plus is a 'pure sine wave' inverter.

My setup is pretty basic.

I5 Haswell
Asus H97ME
24GB RAM
1 SSD
1 M2
2 HDD.
3 Fans
NO GPU

I have already performed a system stability test with AIDA extreme in non ac environment. I ran it for 5 hours and everything was fine. No lockups and temperature was well within 60 degrees.

So, my question is if Is my PSU faulty or do I need a higher wattage UPS?

Requesting you to kindly reply.

Best regards
Saikat

Its hard to say. But you in all probability don't need a higher wattage UPS. I have a 600VA sukam UPS with a 300W PSU (which also runs a gpu ).
