PC Peripherals UPS with 2 hours backup.

Hi,

I am looking for a UPS + external battery to give me 2 hours back up for 1 PC with 19" LCD.

One thing, the battery should be the compact type, not the large car/inverter battery ones - meaning they should use SMF battery packs.

Looking forward to suggestions.

better get a home inverter with home ups mode. it will give u power supply for about 4-6 hrs. and if u buy dry battery then there is no battery maintenance.

well there is the apc 1000va ups which has the option to add a external battery although it would noway come close 2 hrs if u have a load of around 300watts it would give a back up of 40min.
so best is to get a sincewave based invertor a APC 1000va invertor with 2 batteries would cost 22k it will definetly give u a back of more then 2hrs.

I would not want to spend 22K on this. I can easily get a UPS for 7 to 8K and battery for 3.5K (and this would give me 4+ hours backup), but the setup become large and cumbersome - I have such a setup already in place - that is why I am looking for a UPS which can take small sealed battery packs. Anyways, 2 hours will suffice for me. I really don't want more than 2:15 hours backup max.

Thanks once again.

dude dont go for microtek. i use sukam matrix home ups. it comes with ups mode and has dry battery. best part everything is fitted into one unit. from a distance it looks more like a pc cabinet than an inverter:eek:hyeah:

if going for home ups(inverter) u shd give a look at zenus really a very good sinewave inverter with home ups mode using it for more than two years and very good coustmer support
