Well guys I am in a situation in which I don't know what to do...:huh:

Well I have 2 broadbands at home now....

BSNL ULTD 750 plus ---Rs 750 a month
Relience ULTD 300 Kbps --- Rs 1170 a month (including phone charges)

Now I have a new offer from relience to get 1mbps for about 2170 (don't know exactly )

Also the 999 plan for 300 kbps had been changed to 799 now competing with BSNL rates....

I already pay around 2k a month for phone and internet bills :(

So I was thinking should I leave the BSNL line....

Pros of BSNL
1) New amazing plans might come....
2) Cheaper
3) Good upload speeds

Cons
1) Pathetic pings on gaming servers :(
2) Not so stable connection
3) Had to wait 2 months to get the connection

Pros of relience
1) Good stable connection
2) Awesome pings on gaming servers :)
3) Good support

Cons
1) No peaks in speed stays a constant 300 kbps :(
2) Little expensive
3) New schemes come very late

If I get the 1mbps plan I will have 1 dedicated net connection....with good speed and payin the same amount....

Guys help me decide what to do. If I leave BSNL I will not get it back again soon.....and if a new awesome plan comes along I will have to bang my head up the wall....:S

Should I leave BSNL and go for 1 mbps ultd relience

1 mbps ! :D

Im using 1mbps too, shifted from 2 X 256k ULTD ( Airtel ) love downloading 700mb movies in just 2 hours :D

Also about the new plans, even Reliance will have to to release eventually because of competition..

I would suggest u change to Home 500 C+ and get 2mbps/200kpbs downloads for 6 hours...u might end up downloading about 4+ GB per day

and reduce phone rentals - its waived off in this plan + 50 free calls

Unless you are a huge downloader, i would refrain spending so much for a 1MB connections, when i can have 2mbps tho only for 6 hrs ULTD

It depends on your needs.

And getting a new BSNL connection is next to impossible...so decide wisely.

Ok I confirmed with the relience guys... its 2199 + 12.5% service tax for 1 mbps ultd.....

Will get it as soon as I get BSNL out of the way.....Yippe.....:hap2:

10 gb a day keeps the doctor away.... :rofl:

Well tht has been my experience..... Call them on my free phone... get a complaint no.. usually all problems solved within 24 hours max.....

So I would say good support....
haven't had a single issue so far except for the distruption when the accident happened in the sea snapping the cable.....

@pcgamer : thnx...hope i fill all my HDDs soon....:D

@Ronnie.

which area in ahmedabad ? Is it wimax or ADSL ? On Reliance site it says 2999 for 1 Mbps Flat free plan. Do check with them.

even I am using 75 Kbps plan as my backup connection + Home 500 BSNL.

@cisco_tech
Well these are new plans ...not yet updated in the relience site....

I got them when I called them up for another problem ....:D
here are the new plans competing with both airtel and BSNL

1) Ultd 300 kbps (799) previously was 999
2) Ultd 600 kbps (1399) previously was 1599
3) Ultd 1 mbps (2199) previously was 2999 :hap2:

I made a change for 600 kbps for this month...will get the 1mbps as soon as I get BSNL line cut.....

My area : Judges Bungalow
Connection : ADSL
