Hi friends,

I m looking for a CPU + Mobo combo for my friend with budget of 10K. Apart from daily basic use he will be doing casual-occasional gaming.
From TE market one i3-3220 is available for around 6K. Apart from it are there any other AMD alternates available ?
RAM is Corsair Value Select 4GB DDR3 1333MHZ. Monitor is 20 incher with non-HD resolution.

Expecting quick replies.

The i3 seems expensive unless you're using Quick Sync. The G2010/20 will be ~3.8k and better value. Pair it with a B75 board like the Gigabyte B75M-D3H for ~4.5k.

agree with the mod. spending on an i3 would be a waste unless you use quick sync. spend the money saved on a dedicated gpu . the g2010 is quite a capable proc for everyday use.

Have got a quote of 3800 for G2020. In brief what would be advantage of B75 board over H61 board ?

Also how much will be gaming performance difference between IGP of i3 and G20xx ?

b75 = native support for 2nd/3rd gen core series cpu, native 1600mhz ram support with 3rd gen cpu, native sata 3, usb3, pci-e v3 support, it also supports base clock overclocking. if you donn't need the features, go with the cheaper option

huge difference between both the igp's. I recently assembled pc's with both processors. one ran older 2009/10 games at playable frame rates at low settings even on 1600*900(games like james bond blood stone and fifa 09 ) ,where as the g2010 was extremely laggy. That said, i tried to play bf3 on the i3 and the cpu choked ...it would'nt even let me get into the video otions in the menu.

even an entry level 3k card will beat the crap out of both the igp's.
