if u havent brought it yet.. I think AMD 690G chipset in Asus M2A-VM is an amazing chipset!! Its got a X700 like core onboard and mayb able to survive u until u have mainstream Dx10 cards in the summer!!

How much for the Asus M2A-VM ? I'm looking for a cheap AMD X2 based combo too and I dont need onboard graphics ... any suggestions ?
 
Why did u get the DDR 2 version? That one is clocked at 300/800 only.Anyway what was the damage...I hope nt more than 4k
 
^^^ddr3 version not available anywhere....tried my a%% out for it.....this aint gonna be too bad either.....and yes the damange was quite in the range u mentioned....also ...as u can read...there were serious budget constraints for it...so....:)
