Urgent Help in Installing a Aquasure (Aquaguard) water filter

So basically I purchased an aquasure Aquaguard filter last Sunday. I cannot get it installed as the service guy cannot come early in the morning or late in the night and my office timings has been a bit hectic. Can I go ahead and install it myself? Is it as simple as connecting the plastic pipe to the water tap or there is other stuff to do.

On a seperate note I have only one tap in the kitchen. What is the cheapest "T- tap" that I can get to split it up?
