Urgent Help Needed....norton Live Update Internal Error

I am using Norton Internet security and recently an internal error occured by which I can not do live update.Now when I try to uninstall norton it is showing a message like "live updator is already running" even though it is not.Also if I remove norton from startup it is showing u shd login in supervisory mode.So in both ways it is not getting removed
