Urgent help needed.. Suggest a doctor/chiropractor

Hi,

I have been diagnosed with "Loss of cervical lordosis" meaning my spine in the neck region has become straight and lost its curve. This causes me general pain at the back of the neck and more specific while turning back and seeing.

On conducting MRI i have also been diagnosed with disc bulge at two places in the cervical area. Now sooner or later surgery is imminent.

However after searching the net extensively, i found that alternative options are available where surgery can be avoided and neck curvature can be restore with specific techniques. This can be done by

Chiropractors (commonly referred to as Spine Specialist) and especially one with specialization in Chiropatric Biophysics

Now when i tried to locate one, it is giving me name of some baba's and not doctors... Hence i urge if some one could help me find one good chiropractor doctor / doctor who treat spine curvature in mumbai, it would be of great help.

Awaiting response.

there are some good and i mean very good hospitals in coimbatore which specialise in spine and related injuries ...ganga hospitals ...but i have no contact with any chiropactor or doctors

i have a similar problem, 2 bulges in L1 and S5. i was told by my doc that there nothing to worry, only exercise ur back... so dont worry about it..it shoudn't be as bad as it initally projects..

theres a physical theraphy centre by dr Ali irani( former physio of indian cricket team) in mumbai, y dont u contact there office and see?

ill try to get the no. i myself am planning to go to mumbai to see him; my bro says hes quite good and quite famous aswell.

My mom had cervical spondylosis!! :(

She was just told to regularly exercise the neck!

As far as my experience as a med student, operating around the cervical vertebrae can be quite risky(imo! still learning :p), but if done by a experienced neurosurgeon then its no biggie! :)

btw now a days, minimal invasive surgeries are also done. U can talk to your doctor regarding the merits and demerits of that!

@salluks: please find the number or address

@sohail99: not thinking about surgery right now... as its in the primary stage with current problem being spine curve loss... once that is treated, chances are the disc bulge may reduce with exercise and proper care... surgery is needed when the pain starts in the neck and radiates to other parts of the body.. even then surgery is the last resort once the tractions and other methods does not provide relief and vital organs begins to get affected....

so the bottom line is the best person to get the curve back is a chiropractor, who is a specialist of spine curves, a special type of physio therapist, but sadly i cannot locate one in mumbai..

have to depend on advice from surgeons and therapists i guess...

still searching.. any idea of the best spine care unit (OPD) in this part of town (mulund) apart from wockhardt/jupiter..???

thanks and regards

ooh :( sad to know abt this....u should try some magnetic theory , heard it works.....care to share how did this happen ? what causes or caused this ? your profile says ur 25....and this at this age is not something that should happen......wat did the doctor say , wats the reason for this to happen ?

all kudos to my addiction to stay glued to pc with improper posture... See when we sit on the computer, we do not realize that we tend to bend forward, which exerts pressure on the spine and stretches the curvature to support the position. Long hours at this position leads to loss of lordosis or spine curvature. Had i knew about this i would have taken precaution but then how many of us realize the importance of posture unless something like this happens..??? Thankfully there si still time for me to take care... or so i guess...

i had just GUESSED the cause to be the exact same as u said....and it came out to be true...this is sad...and many people ignore it to the core.....i'm another victim of this and i agree to the carelessness......due to sitting in weird positions and what not i have problems with my back regularly...thankfully lower back exercises take care of it.....

i've told this thing to many people who choose to ignore the fact saying "nothing happens" only to realise once the same thing happens to them.....

wish you a steady recovery.... and i hope other TE members read this and understand the seriousness of the endless addiction of computers and the posture associated with the usage.

coming to the concern of this thread....i might have a few contacts who would be able to find out about the same.....i will check it out.....i hope u know the entire treatment is going to cost big bux from the consultation to the treatment.....but thats nothing compared to restoring of your health.

edit : asked someone who said , he would defi. would be able to locate someone...would let u know...
