PC Peripherals Urgent help needed

guys,
i got a corsair vx 450 but the powercable has different pins which do not plug in to my home socket,i have a spare power cable of my old pc which has round pins but it is rated 250v and 6 amp where as the corsair one is rated 250v 13amp.so will the old powercable be able to supply clean power to psu.

get a spike guard or a multiplug like this one

Ps: The power cable that comes with corsair also has a fuse
