Storage Solutions Urgent help!!! Sata connectors

i had a old computer parts lying aside.. so thought of building a home server with it..

following is the spec :

AMD Athlon XP 2000+

Biostar M7VIG-D mobo

150gb ide hdd

somehow i have managed to borrow a 512mb ddr400 ram from a frnd of mine and built an home server yesterday.. Installed WHS to it..

Now the problem is, i wanna a add 2tb sata hdd to it.. but it does't have a sata port :( what should i do now? will a sata connector like this or a pci card like this do any good? or is there any good pci or agp sata cards??

will using something like this damage the hdd or datas in it??

^ Only drawback seen by me with IDE to SATA dongle, PCI SATA controller card is limited transfer rate of 25-45 MB/S. This means 30% of the actual read/write rate.
 
thank you... hope i can adjust to the transfer rate as long as my hdd n datas in it are safer...

friends, now plz recommend me some good pci sata card..
