Please help me buy a WIfi router urgently .... I have no idea which one is good..... been reading positive and negative reviews about D link and Belkin online.

Budget: Rs 4000/-



Requirements: I require it to cover a > 1500 sq feet home which is Ground + 1 Storey.



2) I want to maintain my DHCP random IP address..... I dont want to settle for static IP.

I have a DHCP fibre optic internet connection from my cable provider 1.5Mbps

Have seen a few products online. Let me know if these are good.... if not please do provide me with links to the appropriate product.

Linksys E2000/E3000

Dont go for Belkin , It has issues with range and you want long range

Put dd-wrt and these are one of the most stable routers

There are some really horrible reviews about hte linksys e 1000. It does not have a range of more than 30 feet! ... and I need this on the 1st floor of my house..... which has 4 rooms...... guess I need to search for another one.
 
yeah but it seems that the E1000 doesnt give more than 30 feet range! sucks considering I need it to give me a range on the 1st floor and 2nd floor of my house....

at present I am using a belkin USB adapter as a wifi apn..... even that gives me proper range on the ground floor.... so I am looking for something that can give me good range.... please suggest some more models guys

Hi all,

I seem to have a similar requirement as the OP – though not over multiple floors. What is the best option for a modem + router when looking for good range, particularly through obstructions (walls)? The Belkin N150 is quite out of question… How about the N+ ? Looking to use Letsbuy coupons for this…within 4.5k.

Is Linksys a good choice for this?
