Urgent help with British Airlines baggage limits

This is really urgent. Can anyone confirm the baggage limits for the World Traveler class on British Airlines (Flight is BA276 - Boeing 777 going to London). The website says that its a single baggage with up to 23Kg and two pieces of hand baggage.

My sis was told that its 2 x Baggage of 23Kg. Also what are the charges like for additional baggage? Also what is the weight limit on the hand baggage.
 
AFAIK its a single 23Kg bag + 1 hand bag + 1 laptop bag. Whatever it mentions under your online itinerary (Manage My Booking on the BA website), is what it is.

There are no weight limits on the hang baggage, only size limits.

If your sis is a student, she can take 2 x 23kg bags. But she needs to call up and notify them in advance (unfortunately their CC is open only from 9AM - 6 PM)

Charges for an additional 23kg bag are somewhere around ~2k (tends to be a couple hundred more if you book at the airport).
 
^^ Seems like US travelers (via London) have slightly different rules for the same class. My sis mean while confirmed with few other colleagues who have traveled via same airlines, that and the baggage limit is 2 x 23Kg Check-in + 2 x hand baggage. The Itinerary also mentions 2 pieces as baggage allowance. The website created the confusion.
 
^^^ Thants correct. Travellers going to london are allowed only 1 check-in baggage, abit larger size allowed than US.

Travellers to US are allowed 2 check-in baggage, even though its via london or even if u visit london on transit visa.

the above conditions are for economy class.
 
Have you tried dialing BA or Heathrow phone numbers directly to find out from the horse's mouth???

Nah.. Already got the requisite info from multiple sources. In any case, My sister is already in London waiting for the onward flight to take her to chicago.
 
LN.. i feel the luggage limit for the flights goin to the states has 2 bags.. coz when i used to travel by BA.. the first time since i had a student visa, i was allowed 2 bags.. but after that only one.. so for UK it is 1 bag.. US 2 bags.. :)
