Urgent Help

For past 3-4 days I m having a problem with Bit-torrent. When I start bittorrent, It just keeps checking for firewall and after sometime my net connection closes and I can connect only after re-booting my modem.

Sometimes, 1 in a dozen, it shows Online-All ports open,but after a while my net connection closes and I can connect only after re-booting my modem.

plz help mr overcoming this problem.
P.S. When I was storing my incomplete/complete downloads on HDD of my PC, it was working fine. I beleive that problem started after I started storing my incomplete/complete downloads on my external HDD that problem started. Might be coincidence though.

HTTP/FTP downloading working fine for long period ? ... Check if ur modem is getting too hot

Everything else is working fine.Problem is with bittorrent only.

try changing the port used within your torrent client.. i dont know how to go about it in bittorrent though... and also try enabling UPnP.
