Laptops [URGENT] Laptop within 35k , Buying tomorrow , Kolkata !!

Hi guys ! This time I need to buy a lappy for my college going sis !
Budget is strictly 35k....if really really necessary then can squzee 1 k more..but not more than that !!

Please suggest a good laptop within this budget !

I need
c2d processor based laptop
1 or 2gb ram
160+gb hdd
14/15inch screen size
DVD Writer
Bluetooth, webcam
card reader if possible !

vista aero compatible graphics is must !!

want something better than the acer 4530 ...
Pleas suggest guys ! Will be buying from kolkata , so shop recommendation will also immensely help !

@35K u can get a Dell Vostro check it here ----->Dell Vostro 1510 .Any specific reason u want the vista aero compatible graphics.U may not get it with the Dell Vostro coz it has Vista Home basic.Vostro build quality is awesome(this is the only laptop in Dell i like the most).Since u do not want a Acer AFAIK there are no more suggestions at that price.
 
problem with dell is he needs to buy the laptop tomorrow urgently ! so cant wait for dell to complete the transaction the ship it to my place.So I need to buy something ready off the shelf
 
U could give a try with the Dell vostro pre configured laptop's.They are usually available at any good computer store .PM any Kolkotta peeps abt where u get the same, i am not sure abt ur city.
 
well, i would really recommend the compaq cq60-104 TU if you are ok with a Intel dual core t3200 processor rather than the C2D

it is 16 inch model. there is another model with the same config but a 15.4 inch standard screen which is slightly cheaper.

both of them has the same procy, with 2 gb ram, 250 gb hdd, a card reader with supports sony sticks too :D bluetooth and wifi.(the specs dont show bluetooth :(but the models croma in pune is selling have it :) )

doesnt come with a OS

btw, on second thought, the nothing will come close to the graphics of acer 4530. vostro might be a gud option if u can pick up it up pre configured.

so i guess the acer is the best option
 
Try the Acer 4730. In your budget and comes with a C2D.

I have seen Extensa 4630 same as 4730 only change is Build; Colour All Black + I Feel Better shape & KB layout @Rs. 29K to 30k with 1gb RAM in karnataka.
 
Buy the Lenovo 3000 series G430 laptop. It has got Intel T3200, 1GB RAM,160GB HDD, NVIDIA 9300M graphics, all for just Rs.32k(inclusive of tax).

I think Berlia computers(in Chandni Chowk, Dalhousie) or PC Island.
There are hundreds of shops in Ganesh Chandra Avenue near Dalhousie along with the 2 shops that I mentioned above. These shops are near CESC Victoria House(take the road to the right of this building) and start from Magnet House(it houses the Emall). You will get very good deals in here.
If you have never heard of any of there roads or buildings, let me tell you, it is 5-10 mins walk from Muhammad Ali Park.

You can also try Just Dial - India's No.1 local search engine to see if any shop is listed there. I dont have the ph no. of any shop of that area.

Laptop specs look good. But don't you find it a little too fat? And how is the screen? Personally, I've always felt Lenovo has not been able to adapt to the consumer market (hint: someone at Lenovo needs to be fired :mad:). Look at HP and (now even Dell) for how a consumer laptop should look like. Why don't they make their laptops a little more sleek :S?

I bought Acer 4930 for rs 32900 all inclusive. They asked for 33500..but after a little bargaing (I also hinted that I've already visited several shop..and I am ready to buy if they lessen the price ).

I visited Supreme,Berlia,Lalani,Ester Logica,Technocraft...but vedanth seems to be giving best price. They were asking 33500...supreme quoted 34000,berlia 33800 ,lalani 33800...

Config seems to be the best on this price range

C2D ,2GB RAM,Intel Centrino 4xxx chipset , 160GB,DVDRW,Crad reader,Bluetooth,webcam , 5.1 dolby surround sound,wifi b/g/draft-n..and other stuffs !!!

Lappy is performing well..installed vista with it...no sign of sluggishnes. Only gripe being..the palmrest feels a little hot after 30 mins of usage !!!

Battey life is quite good..in balanced profile with music playing..got around 2hr 30 mins life...its pretty good
