Hi guys, I have a deal for nexus 10 in chennai but dont know the guy
So could some one help me by going there and checking the product?
I know im asking too much but would it be possible by today 5PM. If not I can try to fix another date but before this week ends. The area is Harris road, Pudupet.
Thanks :)

^^ Pudupet is not a good locality and we used to purchase fake phones from there, or even stolen phones. So yeah, it is better if someone go check it out and make sure it is genuine.

OMG this is scaring me. That person said he bought it for his friend who didnt want it so he is selling it. No box but the protective covers are not removed. He said be will ship from his chennai office which is at the above location. The original idea was i will go to chennai and buy it if someone confirms it is okay.

Anyone? Is it a good idea for me to go all the way till there to check it myself without any confirmation? Also how will I check whether it is stolen and that it is new?

From you apprehensiveness It seems the deal is too good to be true. Going to such an area with money is not advisable. Ask him to post it on ebay, rather risking your money.

Actuallly it is for 27k without box for the nexus 10 with all accesories and protective covers intact. I tried to go today but didnt get tickets. How much more would it be if listed in ebay? And would be safer in ebay even if he is not a seasoned seller. His location is a well established computer store/office.

^Is it the same for tablets? Now what do I tell him. How do I know how much he is actually charged so that I compensate for it.

Isn't the Nexus 10 back in stock in Play Store? Can't you just order it yourself? Should be be about 29k I guess for a brand new unit with box.

Yes, 1% eBay Final Value Fee and 4.5% Paisapay fee. After adding the service tax etc, it will come to 6.2%.

Fees: Charges For Selling Your Items on eBay

Thanks :) I dont have a CC and if I buy from here, I'll get a practically new tablet for 26.5k vs ~30k, plus, the time I need to wait and not so familiar with the process. Of course this is scaring me even more now, though he has sent me the pictures already. So he needS to list it at approximately Rs 28250 and I should get a 10% or 7% coupon so that I get it for the same price. Now some doubts,
Should I ask him to list it as a private listing or something so that only I can see it?
What if I dont get any working coupon, can he take it off ebay without any charges?
What if it comes DOA or any other problems as Im not checking it before hand?
Any other better suggestions?

As a side thought, anyone coming from US this month?

And another thought that is creeping in at the back of my mind, I have an ofer for Nexus 7 32GB used for ~16.5 - 17k. Should I just go for that? My only problem is

Dont trust Tegra 3 as a future proof solution as it might fall behind other quad cores easily due to unoptimized games and weak hardware. Games like NOVA 3 for one are considerably laggy on the Nexus 7 unless over clocked. And Tegra chips usually age a lot faster dude to most games or apps being more optimised for other chipsets or the different coding needed for tegra combined with its weak hardware. I have had this experience with my Xoom(tegra 2) which I still have.Im kind of tempted to buy a Nexus 7 but Im afraid it will die a premature death like the Xoom.

^^ Better you ask any of your friends in Chennai to meet up with that guy in some common place and let him examine the device. Once you get a go signal, transfer the money to your friend and ask him to ship it.

Or else, if you are anywhere near Chennai, it's reasonable to travel and check the phone all by yourself. Meanwhile, don't carry any cash (more than 500INR), as a safety precautions.
