You need a PSU...

Best bet get a CM460 + a cheaper graphic card like 8600gt if budget cannot be stretched as u said...

Coz nowadays even little gaming means you need a GPU..
 
Get the zebby 350 for 1525 shipped across the nation by mediahome.

Also Getting 4GB Ram would be a smarter choice because the user would want to upgrade to win 7 and for that I believe 4GB is a must.
 
hmm.. don't think u need a more powerful cpu for a basic rig like tat.. as of now no gpu, still the comp switches off.. maybe the motherboard is shorting somewhere? will try to keep all the components outside n run it for a while, if still the same case then have to buy a new psu i guess..
