Urgent:: PC configuration for the Animation: Tight Budget

Hi All, :)
I am looking to buy a system for the Animation purpose. But the cost is the mail constraint:

Need to be as cheap as possible..in terms of cost. do not want to compromise a lot on the requirements..so will be buying just what requirements demand.

Need a balanced rig...so please let the suggestions flow in..

1. Q: What is your budget?
A: 25k Tightly.

2. Q: What is your existing hardware configuration (component name - component brand and model)
A: NA

3. Q: Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model)
A: NA

4. Q: Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.

1. CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo.
2. Motherboard - Gigabyte 790GXBE, 780G based cheaper options.
3. GPU - NVidia 9500-9600, not sure (If oing for gpu.. will invest in cheapest AM2+ board available)
4. RAM - 2x 2GB 800MHz either Transcend.
5. HDD - 250GB Seagate 7200.12

6. Q: Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component
A: This will be final. No Upgrades will be done later.

7. Q: Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)
A: Mumbai

8. Q: Would you consider buying a second hand hardware from the TE market
A: No

9. Q: What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
A: 3D Animation: MAYA, MAX etc.

10. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them and the reason for your preference/dislike.
A: Nothing as such.

11. Q: If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?
A: No gaming.

well a 25k budget is just ok to buy the pc you want .

i would like to suggest you the following configurations.

cpu : athlon II X4 620 : rs 4800/-
or dual core e5400 : rs 2950/-
motherboard : biostar 785ge : rs 3600/-
graphics : zotac 9500 : rs 3200/-
ram : 2gb kingston ddr2 800mhz : rs 2400/-
hard disk : 250gb seagate : rs 1800/-
dvd : samsung dvd-rw : rs 1000/-
case + psu : i-ball stunner : rs 1500/-
audio : creative 2.1 : rs 1100/-
lcd : benq/dell 18.5" : rs 5500/-

comes around 25k .

i would go with the athlon processor instead of dual core.
if u game you can spend a few more to get better gpu.
ill suggest a 4850 !

even i deal in computers so i can buy for you and ship it .

QUAD CORE any day over dual core for ur purpose.

X4 910e is out of budget.... X4 630 is for 5k and can be had.... X4 635 is for 5.4k

X4 630 @ 5k

Biostar TA785G3 @ 3.7k

2GB DDR3 1333 Transcend @ 2.7k

500GB WD @ 2.1k

Zebby Bijli @ 1.1k

FSP Saga 380W @ 1.6k

DVD RW @ 1.1k

Sapphire HD5670 @ 5.1k

Thank you again for the reply.

One of my frnd stated that Processor is IMP, but Core 2 Duo can also fulfill my purpose and only thing I need to go around in "RAM, GPU and Power supply".
I agree that Quad core is better than Dual or Core 2 duo, anytime. But I may go for Dual or Core 2 Duo. Suggest me the better among this two.

Also with the processor mentioned, Please suggest me few more compatible motherboards. :D

For the PSU, if one could suggest me some higher power rating PSU, I ll be oblidged. :), like what about Corsair Vx450 ??. Anyone please let me know the prices also.

For GPU front, what about QUADRO FX 580 @95-9600, GTS 250 1 GB @ 85-8600 or HD4200 IGP . I can spend more on GPU. :)..

PLease suggest me the Cabinet with some good cooling also.

I know this may cost a little more, but as I am looking for DVDWriter, Monitor, Speaker etc.., I can shed few more bugs on the complete processing unit.

hey its gud that you dont need a dvd-rw
now you con go for cooler master elite 310 case (very nice and cool).-rs 1550
and psu you can go for fsp 350w around 1.2k.
as for the cpu x4 635 is overprices so you should go for x4 630 -5200 or xw 620 - 4800 depending on your budget . also spend 1 k more to get better screen 20" dell full hd 6.5k much better option .

other stuff is big and will take huge shipping amount.

I have almost finalized the system;

CPU: Athlon II X3 435 (L2 catche (3*512MB, 2.9Ghz))
Motherboard: Biostar TA 785GE2
PSU : Corsair VX450
RAM: : Transcend 1*2GB DDR2 800Mhz/ or DDR3 1333Mhz
GPU : Radeon HD5670/HD5750 or NVidia GEForce 9600
Cabinet : Cooler Master Elite 310/330
HDD : 320 WD Blue

This is almost final, but please do suggest me if I need to change in Motherboard and GPU.

Yeah I can go for 500GB
but Processor front, I may stick to X3 435, and may OC in the future.
Performance is all the same for both.

PLease suggest me the mother board for the same.

really . you think 3 cores vs 4 cores will give you same performance .
ohk as you wish then .
now 4770 is quite equivalent to 9800gt
so i think you should go for it .
5670 is slower but has dx11 . its your choice but if i ws in your shoes i wd hv gone for 4770 ! :)

No frnd, I mean that it gives the almost same not exactly same. Also with a good GPU I can overcome the shortcomings of processor.

. How about the NVidia GT 200 series. Also DO I need two HD4770 in Cross Fire mode.

@Debutant. Get a quad-core and that means X4 630. Get at least 4GB RAM. Get HD 5670 if you can afford it.

For XP, I can have at max of 3.2GB, as XP won't support more than that...

In future, in case required, can go for more...

How about HD4770. Is it better than HD5670
 
for 3d work i suggest you go in for64 bit of windows so that you have zero memory problems...ans also you can pile in more ram thus more polys
2 gb of ram for 3d works is plain naiviety

Its not about XP/ Windows7. Its whether it is a 32-bit/64-bit OS. Using XP 64-bit u can use 4GB RAM and more.

CPU: Athlon II X4 630 ~ 4.9k (A quad is better for ur requirements)
Motherboard: Biostar A785GE ~ 3.4k/ Biostar TA790GXBE ~ 4.3k
RAM: 4GB(2*2) Kingston 800MHz DDRII RAM ~ 4.9k (Its better to go with 4GB RAM for the intended usage)
HDD : 500GB WD Blue ~ 2.1k
Cabby: CM Elite 310 ~ 1.6k
PSU : Corsair CX400 ~ 2.8k
GPU : MSI Nvidia GTS250 512MB DDR3 ~ 6.5k (Can be soft modded to Quadro if needed i guess. Also IIRC soft modding wont void warranty)

Total: 26-27k
