Security Software [URGENT] Privacy Protection spyware virus...how to remove ??

My office laptop has got infected by the "Privacy Protection" spyware / virus. It loads itself on system startup and runs a fake virus scan and gives fake virus warning. It does not allow running any exe files or anything and even shut downs task manager as soon as i open it.

Is there any free tool to remove this fake program / spyware ?

I followed few instructions on net which tells me to start my computer in safe mode and do certain steps but they all have to be registered (by paying ofc) for them to remove the virus.

Please suggest something as this is very urgent and i need to get my laptop running normal.

Suggest something which will dedicatedly will remove as the PC already has an antivirus installed.

For now i was able to delete the privacy.exe and its references from startup and also registry. But is there any sureshot way to delete the virus entirely ?

And this means the program does not load when windows starts.

Try using an antivirus + spybot (IDK, TBH) from Hirens boot disc?

Incidentally my laptop got infected with "security sphere 2012" this morning and I also faced similar

situation like that of yours.

For now, I was able to remove the spyware using the instructions provided in the link below:

I am running stopZilla now. Hope this spyware does not come back again.

Search registry manually with file name of the exe of that spyware, and delete all entries.
Plus don't forget to scan with S,S&D. Also if you can post the log of hijack this, we can help you in a better way.

Here's what you can do
get Superantispyware Free and run a full scan( its the best anti spyware and fake antivirus remover out there)
if the program prevents SAS free to run, (.exe execution gets blocked)
then you should get the Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10(free) save it on a disk or USB drive and boot with it

Yes. Though real time protection won't work in safe mode.

Firstly, if you have system restore on, disable it. Secondly, get the portable version of the cleaner from

update and scan the system with this.
