ALIENWARE SAID it has sold over 100 of its Area-51M 7700 notebooks to the US Army for simulation planning.
It said it won out over major PC manufacturers because the US Army wanted the highest levels of performance to use simulation software to rehearse battles and understand difficult terrains.
The machines are those little gizmos with the two demon lights shining out of the book that Fudo was raving on a little while before.
They can come configured with either ATI or Nvidia graphics subsystems and use something alled Clearview when the screens have a 17-inch WSXGA+ screen.
Unlike Fudo's machine these come equipped with Pentium 4s, with options for 200GB of storage, and up to 4GB of memory.
